ECODIT LLC, a United States-based international development firm specializing in environment, energy and climate change, has been awarded a definitive contract from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for a project in Cambodia. The contract is worth $4,130,000 USD and the purpose of the project is to support local citizens and civil society in their efforts to protect Cambodia's unique biodiversity and critical forest ecosystems. Cambodia is a country in Southeast Asia bordered by Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. It is home to a diverse range of plants and animals as well as a number of important forest ecosystems. USAID has been active in Cambodia for over 30 years and, through its development programs, has helped to improve access to basic services, such as health care, education and clean water, as well as increase agricultural production and market access. The project, led by ECODIT LLC, seeks to promote sustainable management of these natural resources and empower local communities to become active stewards of their environment. Through the use of evidence-based communication, ECODIT LLC hopes to give local citizens and civil society the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively protect their unique biodiversity and critical forest ecosystems.
The USAID Cambodia Green Future Activity is a five-year project aimed at mobilizing communities to conserve biodiversity and protect natural resources. The activity is a key component of USAID’s work to protect Cambodia’s unique and endangered natural resources, which include a variety of forests, valuable plants and trees, and a number of threatened wildlife species. This activity will provide Cambodian citizens, decision makers, and civil society with the knowledge and skills to influence positive actions to support biodiversity conservation, forest protection, and broad sustainable natural resource management (NRM). Using best practices from ECODIT’s pioneering work in NRM, community engagement, and social and behavior change communications (SBCC), the Cambodia Green Future team will increase awareness and catalyze action via strategic campaigns in social media, radio, television, community events, and other methods. Cambodia Green Future will collaborate with a wide range of partners, including women, youth, and indigenous groups, and civil society organizations (CSOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and government bodies with environment-related mandates.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has awarded Triangle Environmental Health Initiative LLC a Definitive Contract worth $2,874,682 USD to implement the Solid Waste Accountability Platform (SWAP) project in urban Cambodia. Triangle Environmental Health Initiative LLC is a limited liability company that specializes in global health, environmental, and social services. The project aims to improve solid waste service provision in the country by providing an online platform that provides information about waste services, tracks waste management performance, and enables transparent decision making. This project is expected to result in improved solid waste service provision in Cambodia, which is located in Southeast Asia, bordered by Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam.
USAID/Cambodia has awarded Nickol Global Solutions (NGS) its first prime contract – the three-year, $3 million One Window Service Offices – Platform to Enhance Accountability (OWSO-PEA) Activity. Supported by local partners InSTEDD iLab Southeast Asia and Advocacy and Policy Institute (API), NGS will lead the OWSO-PEA Activity, which aims to increase the capability of civilsociety to engage in political processes. The award is part of USAID’s Small Business Applied Research (SBAR) pilot, a field-based initiative that establishes a streamlined and unique pathwayfor the Agency to expand its access to U.S. small businesses for solutions to some of the world’smost daunting development challenges.

The project Morodok Baitang, is to be implemented in Cambodia, a country in Southeast Asia bordered by Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam. The project is designed to promote sustainable, conservation-friendly, climate-smart, and socially equitable economic growth in order to achieve Cambodia's national development goals. ARD, Inc. works with local partners to improve the quality of life in developing countries and USAID is an independent agency of the United States government that administers civilian foreign aid and development assistance. This project is expected to help Cambodia achieve its national goals and improve the quality of life of its over 16 million people.
